Well, last week's trip was definitely harder than Versailles was. It was not in Europe for starters, but on the other side of the Atlantic. I thought it would be easier for the Overtheponders. As it was, not so much. So, where was it then? Well, it was the underground walkway at O'Hare airport in Chicago, connecting two terminals. A point goes to Yamini who knew that particular airport had/has those wavy lines.
My own story? When I still wanted to move to Canada, I made one trip there, but having chosen the cheapest trip, it also meant one of the longest ones. Arriving from Amsterdam, I had nearly 8 hours to spend at the airport in Chicago before my next flight to Edmonton in Canada. A long interminable day followed. And I only saw the airport...
I have only been at the Niagara Falls and nowhere else in Canada and in the States from what I have see they look different.
ReplyDeleteThe bus is a school bus style over here, but they are usually yellow all over.

ReplyDeleteWell, that you are standing beside is an old Bedford bus - perhaps the others also... and it is right hand-drive and there are castellated walls behind you, but it appears to be hot and dusty... I'm going to have a stab at either Malta or Cyprus, neither of which I have been to but would if I could. YAM xx
I once sprinted thru O'Hare to make a connection home. We were returning home from Hawaii.

We have no idea where those yellow busses can be found but can't wait to hear the story behind your trip when this picture was taken.
ReplyDeleteIt looks a bit like Valetta in Malta but not sure. If it is I went there in September 2011 just after I retired. As a teacher I had never been away in September so I decided on Malta.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been through O'Hare Airport in several years. However I did guess it was an airport. No clue on the next one!
ReplyDeleteIt has been at least 2 decades since I was in O'Hara. On a business trip with a couple of other folks. Little time spent in the airport. Do not remember the squiggly lines! As for the busses they remind me of the ones I travelled on as a child going to school. Not a clue where they are located. klem
