Brom on the road

Always wear your seatbelt!!
Remember me? Brom? The little teddy bear of Mara's youth? The one that got completely fixed up last year? Well, ever since I have been bugging and bugging Mara to let me come on a trip. After all, I was doing well now! She didn't want to take me to the hospital when she was going (she thought it might be a bit scary), but a trip to the Netherlands might be okay she said.

I didn't partake. This time...
And then a trip to the Netherlands was booked. Because her parents were celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary with a little party. And we were invited. Well, she was, but I was allowed to tag along!! So, I was strapped in safely (see photo) and made the journey from Haugesund to Copenhagen and then on to Amsterdam. By plane! It wasn't the first time of course, I have been on lots of planes, but never for a holiday, so it was a bit special.

The smell of the beer was a little yuck, so I tried to jump back.
Today was the party and it was a really great one. There were yummy cakes, there was beer (the cakes were yummier) and there were a lot of people. And some of those people didn't mind giving me a cuddle and then having their photo taken! They thought I was very special and one or two even remembered me!! Because Mara and I used to go everywhere together when we were young (I am only 2 years younger than Mara is, but muuuuuuch better looking)!!

One of my favouritist uncles in the whole wiiiiide world.
So, I made lots of new friends and got lots of hugs and cuddles. I can't wait for the rest of this holiday...

    1. And now I have been told that if I behave really good, I can come on the next holiday as well. Mara says it's a place called Schotland and they speak a different language there. And they have monsters and horses and men in skirts and mountains and something called baggy pipes. I hope they have cakes as well and new friends for me to meet!!

  2. We still have the panda my eldest son has had since he was 18 months old. (He is now 50) It's looking a little worse for wear, but now that you have reminded me, I must put together a blog about it.

You got to go on a plane?????? I've been on a plane once too but I had to go in the dark, scary, belly of the plane not up the top with my Mum like you did. I was VERY scared but if I could go up top like you I think I would like it. Especially if I could go to all those fun places you can go on a plane. Please, Brom ....... come and check us out at Blogville. We would make you VERY welcome.

    1. Hi Charlie!
Thank you for visiting Mara's blog. My holiday was great fun and I was very happy I was allowed to come. My next holiday will be in August and I am allowed to come as well.

Blogville? I will have to ask Mara whether she says ok, because I normally live with the other dolls and bears.

Bye Charlie (or should I call you Prince now?)!

  7. Hey Brom!
Wow, it's so very great to meet you! YAM-Auntie sent me over and I'd like to welcome you to join us in Blogville. If you stop by my blog you'll find several recent posts all about how wonderful life is in our community. I'm hosting an event right now to bring more furiends to our world and you could be one of them! We have prizes and a dance coming up. Blogville is full of fun and love and support and silliness and joy. We used to have another furiend a lot like you...he was a little green alien and he had a lot of adventures in Blogville with us. I hope you visit and join us.

    1. Well, Mara says I will only be blogging when we are on holiday, but Miss Oswin will do some blogging until we go to Scotland. I think it's okay, she doesn't like to travel and I don't like mice!

A green alien? Did he wear a kilt? I am so excited to get a kilt!

  8. Wow, Brom I just had to come back and visit again! You got me thinking about our furiend Alien. He was the stuffy/squeeky toy of one of our doggy furiends and he had amazing adventures with all of us in Blogville. We all really liked him bunches and you would be really beloved too. We would have tons of fun together!
