Open wide!

This morning I had my yearly appointment with the dentist. Last year I had a scare since he wanted me to see the dental surgeon (turned out to be nothing), but this year was supposed to be good again. Supposed! Because after I had sat in the waiting room long enough to read my yearly supply of Donald Duck cartoons, the dentist called me in. He poked around a bit and then he told me 'there's a cavity starting to form'. A CAVITY???? ME??? I've never had a cavity in my life! So, now I really have to floss...

  1. Well then, it's past time you had a cavity and joined the rest of the human race.

  3. You are so lucky not to have cavities till now. Late Saturday night I was flossing my lower second to last molar where the floss usually got caught by the edge of an old filling. This time the edge plus some of my old filling popped out onto my tongue. Pain! I went to the dentist this morning and 3 hours later came out numb, with a temporary crown to cover my tooth that had been drilled on and the decay had been removed. Lucky me, and my portion was only $524.00.
Good luck at the with your filling.

  4. Scary picture! I can't see a beginning cavity at all ;-)
My dentist keeps scaring me with: we will have to remove these wisdom teeth of yours one day.
But he has been threatening me with that since the last, what, 20 years or so. Still, doesn't make it any easier.
Good luck with the flossing project. Hope it works!
