Photo on Sunday 2017-22

When I first got Miss Oswin she had recently been operated on, to make her a non-reproductive kitty-cat (they found her with a litter already). And the area where her hair had been shaved stayed bald for a long time. Much longer than it should have taken.

Eventually though it did start to grow back, but it's not quite normal, since she now has curly hair on her belly!! Cats are strange creatures!

  1. Crikey ..... you sure got that right. Cats are strange creatures alright!! They don't take kindly to me that's for sure. They scratch and hiss and SPIT when I get near them. Would Miss Oswin do that?? I think her curly tummy looks nice.

    1. I don't think Miss Oswin would be too pleased about having you near her. She doesn't even like other pussycats that much!

    1. It's very pretty, but quite strange. None of my other female cats had curly hair after having been shaved down there.

Jasper had quite floofy fur underneath and some of it would wave, even curl - particularly in the humidity... it may just be the length combined with damp grass which would have happened even without shaving. Whichever; it's still very puuurrrrrttty &*> Yxx

    1. You are so right! Perhaps her genes changed after her operation?

  6. Yes, cats are unusual. I will say my 'old person' grey hair are curly unlike the hair of my youth. Have had to learn how to deal with this change. Hope you are feeling better with each passing day.

    1. No rollers or perm needed? In other words painfree? It doesn't sound too bad...

  7. Cats are strange creatures. My Kim had a Lion look in the past, that's gone, only the long hairs are still there.

  8. That is very interesting. I don't know a lot about cats.
