Meet Miss Oswin

Not so sure here you know
I had the food, the litterbox, the scratch pole, the toys and even a carrier. The only thing missing was Miss Oswin. So, yesterday I picked her up from her foster home where she lived with her one remaining kitten (3 passed away), two other cats and a dog. Oh, and two two-legged creatures. After a short chat with the fosters we made our way home. She was quite quiet, but on occasion there was a little miaow.

Did you know you can see things through this thing? And you disturb me??
We got home and when I opened the carrier, she scooted out immediately. When I followed her into the living room, she was nowhere to be seen: she had hidden under the couch. But, once I sat quietly on the couch, she came out and started to explore. The couch, the chair, the book cases, the kitchen. Oooh, food. Back to the living room and up on the couch where I sat. Some cuddles were needed. And my, were they needed. Then she discovered the big thing you can see through and sat there for a while looking out.

I think I might like it here
After about an hour or two she fell asleep on the other couch for an hour or so. After which more cuddles were needed. When I went to bed, I decided she could come too, if only to explore. I never noticed or heard her and when I woke up early this morning, I saw her sitting in the window sill of the walk-in closet. Looking out at the world. She scooted out of the room and I then closed the door. Which prompted her to make some miaow sounds that start off fine and then descend into a broken whistle sound. It didn't last long.

For now she seems to be settling in nicely. She has eaten, she has found the litterbox (and used it) and loves to be cuddled. Miss Oswin: welcome to my home!
