I could have waited for Sunday of course and posted it for my Photo on Sunday. But I already have another set of photos scheduled for Sunday and I didn't really know what to post about today. Hence...
When I got home from the hospital, my mother had already bought some flowers (my favourite): carnations, albeit yellow. Only a few days later I got some more flowers, this time from work. They were tulips. But after a while those flowers both started dying and wilting and smelling a little.
So, I needed (well, wanted really) some new flowers. I got narcissuses in a pot and (again) some tulips. But only because I didn't find any carnations I liked. Anyway, the flowers at least bring some spring into the house, since it's drizzly and yucky outside.
Same dull grey cold and rainy weather here ! Some flowers really cheer up !

ReplyDeleteOne 'luxury' I permit myself each time I do the main shopping is a bunch of fresh blooms. The 'lift' a room, as well as one's spirits!!! YAM xx
I don't normally buy flowers, but then again, I don't normally spend this much time at home either! And looking at some nice tulips and daffodils is always good!
DeleteLove bouquet of tulips. I love yellow tulips and it would be awesome if they lasted longer.....
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! I need a little spring, too. Maybe I should go buy myself some flowers!
ReplyDeleteGene had given me a bouquet for mixed flowers for Valentine. There are a couple of the statice stems to admire.
