Well, I knew I could count on you and plenty of you knew where this photo was taken. It was of course in Copenhagen, Denmark, although just saying the little mermaid was enough as well. I was not that fussy this week (for a change). Yamini, Harm, Cecilia (My Mind's Eye), Millie & Walter, Gattina, Hilary and Fun60 get a full point, Janice gets half a point.
My story? I only ever visited Copenhagen once and I wanted to see the little mermaid. So, me and two colleagues found her (with ease: well sign-posted) on her perch in the water. Everybody had said how small she was, but I was pleasantly surprised as she was life size. I took several photos of her and I actually have her hanging in my home somewhere as well.
Oh, you don't care too much about my story do you? You want to know who won? Well, first of all there is of course an overall winner: Yamini. Up until now she had the most points (Gera came second, Fun60 came third.). So, out of all the other correct answers: Cecilia of My Mind's Eye is the winner! Picked by Miss O herself. ReplyDeleteOh yes, I know that one well... as in it is Wells Cathedral! Went there many a long year back. Mum had a spate of wanting us to visit catherdrals and we saw Salisbury, Canturbury, Wells, Ely, Lincoln, Durham... pretty sure there was another couple in that list, but that's all I can recall just now!

We have no idea specifically where the new picture is but could easily guess that it is a huge church in England somewhere. Congrats to Cecilia on winning the calendar.
ReplyDeleteCongrantulations to Cecilia on winning the calendar. It is Wells Cathedral. I went there once with my mother. I remember the big green in front and walking towards the cathedral, a sight I will never forget.
