There will come a time when I get you all flummoxed, but not this time. Because of course Harm and Yamini knew this was the Pont d'Avignon in France. Both get a point.
My story? I once did a school trip to the Provence and we stayed in Avignon. I had one day off and went to see the local sights. And this one was right next to the campsite I was staying at. I was able to take several photos of it, but I think this one was the nicest.
On to this week's challenge. Where is this? Have you ever been? What is your story? Answer next week.
Difficult to say, could be Verona, or Rome, or in Turkey the walls look all the same !
ReplyDeleteColoseum in Rome?
ReplyDeleteDit is ontegenzeggelijk een arena. Maar ja, waar staat deze.
ReplyDeleteIk gok op Nimes. Ik was daar in 1991. En jij was ook in Avignon, dus in de buurt.
I think this is the Colosseum in Verona. I was there in the late 1990s. I went on a day trip from Lake Garda where I was staying for a few days.

ReplyDeleteWell, knowing you had visited Rome, it would be tempting to say as Gera did... but this doesn't look like that to me. Harm has mentioned Nimes and that rings bells, so I will second his suggestion... but NOT because I really know!!! YAM xx
PS - when we did that family trip via Avignon, we did also visit Arles, where there is an arena... but again, I think it looks different from this...
DeleteWe know the obvious guess might be the Roman coliseum but we doubt that is it. Since we've never been to Europe, we don't have a clue where it is so we will have to wait for the correct answer next week.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a clue.
