I blame Gattina

And what do I blame her for? Well, I went to bed at 2.30am this morning, that's what! And all because she mentioned the dreaded B words: Blog to Book. She wasn't the first one and I had been thinking about it before as well, but it had gone a bit out of my head. Until she mentioned it. Now, any normal person would have decided it would be a great thing to do and since I have the weekend off... But no! Not me. I got started last night. And finished it last night as well. My first blog-book!

I didn't put in all my posts. If I had, I wouldn't have made it into work today! I only did the ABC's and that was enough work in itself. But I have to admit, it turned out beautiful. If I say so myself. It's on order now and you should be able to order it as well. As soon as I have this whole paypal thing worked out that is, but I felt that was going a bit far last night. Nor will I be doing it tonight, since I have to get up tomorrow morning at (help) 3.30am! This coming weekend though, in between the biathlon races, I might be able to sort everything out!

  1. In the past, I printed out certain blogs, but one day, I plan to actually do a book or three. It will take this old coot longer than an evening I tell ya.

  2. My blog started as a place to showcase my book of the same name. Then I developed Writer's Block, then I got sick, so all I've been doing for months and months is post to photo memes and a couple of writing memes. I have more than 100 followers now, and am hoping to get some more chapters written, so that my followers can (I hope) provide me with helpful feedback. Then I'll start sending letters to publishers. Tedious, but necessary.

  4. I published all my blogs in Blog2Print -- one for each year. I still have to order my one for 2010. Something I must do this week. My husband is only too happy to have them in print, which is nice. I think he likes to brag about his wife 'the writer'. At least that's something, because I can't cook and as a pastor's wife, I don't sing or play the piano.

  5. I haven't made a book of my blog but I know people who do one every year. I have made some books for my children with pictures and I think they are awesome to do.

  7. You made a book in one day ??? Since 3 days I am only busy to make a nice cover !! and then I have 5 years to select from only my Writer's Cramps. What company did you choose ? I choose "Blurp". Now that I once talked about it I realize that lots of people have had their blog printed and I didn't even know that this exists after 5 years of blogging ! Otherwise I would have done one per year. Makes me angry ! grrrrr

  8. Ooh, nothing more exciting than to see your blog in print. Or your photos in a book. I've made my photobooks with Blurb.com. But the payment! Since I don't have a creditcard I thought I'd use Paypal. But Blurb only accepts Paypal payments from a creditcard. I argued with them a bit, but couldn't get to a solution. So finally, in order to get my books I had to get a creditcard. Thank you for that Blurb (not). But the books are great and I like the Blurb bookmaking site, so...

And all that just to tell you: good luck with your payment ;-)
