Day one of the new year. And we all wish 2021 will be a different year than 2020, less isolation for a start! So, I wish everyone a great year with plenty of hugs and kisses, family and friends, parties and socialising and of course travel.
For me the year started early as I had to work this morning. Which in turn meant I was in bed at 11.30 last night. Fortunately there wasn't too much heavy fireworks in our neighbourhood. There wasn't meant to be any as it was forbidden, but there are always people who think they are above any rules. Which is also the most likely reason one of our wheelie bins and all three of our neighbour's have gone up in smoke! Idiots!!!
The sign reads: you're laughing now... Ominous |
So, that's it for now. Not much to report on this first day of the year. Enjoy your weekend.
There weren't many fireworks around us this year but there are always some (none sanctioned by the town). Luckily we aren't bothered by that noise. Sorry about your wheelie bin. Happy New Year to you and your parents.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

ReplyDeleteWe heard two minor booms about 10 pm but it was really raining so I think that put a 'damper' on the booms

ReplyDeleteSomewhere, out the back, someone did let off a couple of fireworks. Literally two. It was otherwise very quiet here. The cities had some trouble with idiots though. Sadly, the year is beginning, here in UK, with full restrictions for the first two weeks at least and I strongly suspect that will be continued. Sorry to be so weighty...
Meanwhile, for Hogmanay, I baked. Pizza, roast potatoes and cherry yoghurt buns. Yumalushus. Might just go and make some hot chocolate and have a bun right now! (Oh and I did get the chair pedals out today. Managed exactly three minutes and 25 seconds... but it's a start!!!) YAM xx
Three minutes and 25 seconds is great. Next time you might be able to do three minutes thirty seconds. And every time there will be more.
DeleteI did some kms today and named the walk after the squirrels I saw and photographed. Wouldn't you know it: no photo of squirrels on my phone when I got back. Modern technology!
I have to think about what to eat tonight as my parents are gone for the day. Not a clue as yet.
You did a mile on the very first day. That's pretty great!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on walking. I pray 2021 is a better year for everyone. Happy New Year!
