Mouse meets an old friend

Peep

Auntie Yam had told us that she had sent Brom back a long time ago, but he never showed up! We were very worried that perhaps he had been taken by the border patrol people, but today, finally a box arrived in our mailbox.

It was a heavy box and there was so much tape on it, we had a real job of opening it! And don't worry: I had an adult (well, Mara, nearly the same) help me with the scissors.

We opened the box and... CHOCOLATE! And it looked like the good stuff as well.

But when we opened that box, it was something much much better: it was Brom himself! I think he may have eaten all the chocolate though, because the only other thing left in there was gold straw (Mara says that will come in handy come Christmas) and there were Brom's belongings.

Miss Oswin came over to say hello as well and agreed with me: it's good to have Brom home again.

PS: Mara says that she will try and not open the presents until Christmas. Or the day before. Or the day before that. Or perhaps a bit earlier. But, don't worry Auntie Yam, I will keep an eye on her...

Bqwwwwhahahahahah.... there is a poetry in that the pressies are presenting a tease and temptation on Howloween!!! Hope the bigger one is not to curly; pawhaps it can be laid underneath a pile of books, which not only flatten it, but double up as safeguard against that temptation! Hugs and squeaks, (and growlies to Brom and whiskeries to Oswin), YAM-aunty xxx

    1. There was the teeniest peephole in it and the tape didn't quite hold it together, but apart from a very quick peep, I did not open it! And we will soon get rid of the curl.
