Not even a spider!

It has been a long time since I last wrote on my blog. Two weeks in fact, not counting last week's Photo on Sunday. And the main reason for that is work. The past few weeks I've worked long shifts and it's taking its toll. When I get home after work, I look at my computer, shrug and then plonk myself down in front of the telly. I certainly don't want to dig for inspiration.

The long shifts will continue through this week and then next week I have some time off. In fact, I will only have to work on Monday. Which means I will have time to finally get back to my genealogy, knit some more and perhaps go on a hike/ride or two.

In other news, this year's tax returns are done, but everybody and their aunt want to see and I can't get on to my site. I think I get something back, since I pay in extra every month for that express purpose. I will have to check again a bit later, when the rest has seen it.

So, that is it for now. I hope to get back to blogging a bit more from now on.

  2. You share your tax results with your family? This seems odd to me, but for my sins I am neither Dutch nor Norwegian. Don't work too hard, eh? How's the head?

Amazing, I said aloud to the father this very morning that I hadn't seen anything of Mara for a while... boom, there you are. Glad it was 'only work' keeping you from us; but sorry it was work that was keeping your from us! Quite understandable, the shrug and telly response... YAM xx

    1. Several people commented on my lack of blogging, but I just haven't felt like doing any of it. But I am back now. Hopefully...

  4. Nice to hear from you. You have definitely been busy. Enjoy your free time that is coming up. I felt this way when I was in Florida for 22 days. Everyday ran together and I only got on my computer in the mornings to clear emails, etc.

  5. Ghostwriter knows what it's like to have to work overtime! Those 16-hour overnight shifts are a killer! Now that her nursing home finally has a new night nurse, she hopefully won't have to do any more of these for a while.

    1. Fortunately I don't do night shifts at all. Or evenings for that matter!! But getting up early every day and doing long hours is tiring as well.

  8. Sometimes our mom says the same thing about the computer but she doesn't even work a long shift! Our pawrents paid for taxes today. It was not a pretty sight . . .
