Photo on Sunday 2016-28

I had planned to have a really nice uninterrupted sleep. Until I woke up that is. From a beep.

The smoke alarm! To tell me the battery was nearly empty and I had to replace it! Gone with the uninterrupted part! And yes, I took the offending battery out.

    1. Well, they were a pain last night! No question about that. I just hope they never work for a real reason!

I detest them. Have got two of the darned things here and they are the type that can't be "defrogged". With 11ft ceilings, you can imagine what I was saying when mine went off for no good reason... YAM xx

    1. You need a ladder! Or a broom to knock it off the ceiling...

  4. Seems some cities in the US have a Halloween reminder to change the batteries to avoid such 'untimely' interruptions...

    1. They were only put in about three months ago, but I guess the battery came with the alarm and you never know how long they have been around before being used.

  6. We have like six in our house and we always say we are going to replace them once a year but somehow we never get around to that. Then the power goes out and the house is beeping in a few rooms and the dogs are shaking and hiding under the bed!!!
