Vanessa

Apparently a singer, Dutch Vanessa was more known for her... ahem... large boobs. And a few weeks ago I sent a photo of myself while getting my wet suit on to my friend Pepperfly. Who immediately realised the Vanessa content of said photo.

I don't know how big her boobs actually were, but I do know about mine. I always felt they were in proportion to the rest of my body, and as I grew in size, so did they. But as I have begun this training thing, they did bother me somewhat. Running is not nice when you have two personal lifebuoys jumping up and down in your face I can tell you! I needed help.

Fortunately this internet thingy is perfect for getting help and soon I had a nice sports bra on its way. Would it fit? Would it help? Would it do the trick? Well...

Since I don't really run yet, I couldn't try it there. But I do cycle and every time I did go cycling, I ended up with a headache (lasting several days). I tried to keep my shoulders relaxed, I tried the shock absorber, I tried the sports bra.

Guess which one works!

  1. I guess the sports bra! Hope it gives enough support so that your headache doesn't recur.

That makes sense, actually; I know some of shoulder and back pain comes from the weight being supported (or not!) at the front!!! YAM xx

  3. Our mom has tried a million different sports bras. Once again, after finding one she loves it has been discontinued! It is a big problem! Hope you found one that works!

  4. My friend, Sharon, had so much back and neck problems caused by her buxom frontage, she qualified for a breast reduction. Insurance covered the entire surgery, etc. Neck and back pains were a thing of the past. Not fun for the ladies that have to put up with the extra weight. Not to mention how they drag through everything when one reaches for something.

    1. I never really had a problem with it. I think. But I guess it could be part of the whole H-problem.

  5. Crikey Mara ...... Mum feels for you. She was ALWAYS over-endowed in the boob area. A good sports bra is a must she reckons. She was a runner and knows exactly the problems you are having. Age fixed Mum, although she still needs a good fitting bra, but you've got a lot of years to go carrying those whoppers around. Mum reckons even when you lose weight they DON'T!! Bummer, aye??
