Several of you knew the answer to this one, which was of course Manneken Pis in Brussels (or the little Weeing Boy). Points go to Fun60, Gera, Gerrit, Harm and Hilary. Half points go to Gattina and Janice for not mentioning the where. Sorry.
My story? On a holiday in Belgium and Luxembourg many moons ago, we visited Brussels and wanted to see this little statue. He is not always nude though, because as Gattina said: there is a whole museum of clothes for him and he is dressed up regularly (okay, extra quarter point to her). Unfortunately when we were there, he was wearing his birthday suit. I will have to visit the museum one day to see some of his outfits.

ReplyDeleteOh yes, that's the Pont au Gard ...du? I need to check the exact.. sorry du, not au... but at least I remember the two main words first!!! Dad made sure we visited that in our 1971 tour, all six of us in that Dormobile... YAM xx
I have no clue. Hope you're doing okay.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where that bridge is but it definitely lovely! Stay safe out there! HUGS
ReplyDeleteDit is de "Pont du Gard". Een Romeins aquaduct in de buurt van Nîmes. Bezocht tijdens onze vakantie in 1991.
ReplyDeleteWe have no idea but know it is a very old aqueduct. That would be cute to see that little boy in some of his outfits.
ReplyDeleteI have put together puzzles of this viaduct. It is Roman built some place in France. In searching on goggle maps I see it is near where we visited in 2017. Missed that chance. Hugs
